From March 1966 till summer 1966 Jimmy Page was on Bass, but on tour in the USA Jeff Beck got ill. Jimmy shifted to guitar and another member played bass. Once Jeff Beck came back Page and Beck lead the two guitar format for the Yardbirds. On one single even John Paul Jones played bass, but the hey day of the Yardbirds was on the decline. By 1968 they where done, and Zeppelin and The Jeff Beck Group rose from the ashes. Found this online from multiple place, but the @tonebender page hosts a lot of these pictures as well, so shout out.
