Description
Now the incredible Super Fuzz Version 2 in Mini smaller modern style enclosure. As I refer to it as "Pete's Fuzz" as it was used by Pete Townshend during the glory days of the Who from 1969 to 1974. Watch Woodstock, Isle of Wright, Kids are All Right movies...and watch "Sparks" from Tommy. Thats a Super Fuzz - Pete's Hiwatts just go crazy with power tone and energy !
Now with the Switchable Octave it is tuly great that you can get the Unique Super Fuzz Octave tinge of Ring Modulatation sound....and then flip the switch and its TIGHT NASTY Fuzz NO artifacts..BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
This a re-creation of the Univox Super Fuzz which is a unique aggressive fuzz that is very retro! The fuzz tone is an octave fuzz using two germanium diodes to produce the square wave clipping. The controls are 'Balance' (volume), 'Expander' (fuzz amount), and we took the classic two position 'tone' switch and made it a blend pot. In the end this will give you more tone's and make your guitar just explode with nasty fat tone ! There are two unique features of this device that set it apart from other distortion and fuzz pedals. The first is that the full-wave rectification of the circuit produces an upper octave as well as a slight lower octave. This also gives the sound a lot of compression and gives a mild ring modulator effect. The second unique feature is a tone knob that engages a 1kHz filter that "scoops" the mids, giving a very fat, almost bassy tone, unique to this circuit.
