NO SWIRL SORRY .... guy who paints them is not available APOLOGY
I have spent a enormous amount of time on this getting it right. I loved Ziggy and the Spiders from Mars, and they where a HUGE influence on me and truly created my love of music. Mick "Ronno" Ronson just an incredible simple and pure rocker with passion and feel ! With his Les Paul and attitude mixed in with an original MK 1 Tonebender this his signature lead tone, and occasionally add in front a wah wah in for midrange tone control and bump. The result was a HUGE rock n roll lead tone that is purely timeless, u just can NOT - NOT love this tone. Fat - Raspy - Pure Rock N Roll attitude to boot. The Spider Fuzz relives the HUGE crunch chords of Ziggy, and the powerful soaring slow bend solo's. MANY great players from the time period used this Fuzz tone including no other than Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix.
I have put in the time to get as close to the sound and the original transistor mix as I possibly could, without going mad and also making the pedal cost $350. It runs on 1 - OC75 Black Glass Mullard transistor and 2 - Texas Instrument Metal Can transistors just like in 1966 when Vox released the Tonebender Mk 1 pedal. It has a power inverter at the power jack so it runs LIKE ALL Tru-Fi Pedals in negative tip 9V Power Supply OR Battery. No worries about finding a non-common power supply ! Just plug into a standard supply, or battery.
Plug in. - Turn in up and you’re in Tone heaven.
- Of course it is Tru-Bypass
- Made in the USA
- Runs on Battery or Standard 9v Neg Tip Supply
- Made by Hand with my own 2 Paws
- 1 year warranty
- Comes in Unique Tru-Fi Packaging !
- Ships to Any Place on Earth

Erik DoetschI love the initial Velcro rip of the MK1 but that it doesn't choke like other gated fuzzes. Purple Sparkle looks fantastic too.Mike HSPIDER FUZZ
I have a handful of MK1 Tonebenders (all good ones), but the Spider Fuzz is the Raw Ronson Sound!BrianThe Spider Fuzz
If you're a fan of the Ronson/Bowie stuff, this pedal nails it. It's all there, everything you're looking for. Les Paul > Spider Fuzz > Marshall Super Lead and you're done! It really sounds great. I got mine in gold sparkle because that seemed like the most Ziggy thing to do and it really looks striking and is a beautiful, eye catching pedal. And like all Tru-Fi pedals, it's incredibly well built, sturdy, sounds amazing and a great price. Thanks Teddy!Scott MalpassSpider fuzz
If you’re looking for the “Ziggy” era Mick Ronson sound, this is your pedal! It definitely loves a wah pedal in front! Very well made pedal! Beautiful packaging as well! But it’s the tone of this pedal that is the star! I’ve searched for this tone for years and have finally found it in the Spider Fuzz!T. CurtisSpider
Authentic and SAF.Luke BlaseAbsolutely worth the wait
This pedal is the one. Obviously, it nails the Ziggy Stardust/Man Who Sold the World sound, but it's a great option for anyone looking for a Tonebender MkI, not just us Bowie fans. Over a year ago I bought a very expensive Tonebender MkI reissue from a British company that's licensed to use the Tonebender name. To be perfectly honest, the Spider Fuzz is better. It sounds the same but is much more durable, way less expensive, and it has an LED indicator. (Plus it looks cooler, in my opinion. Mine is Sonic Blue.) The British one broke and I definitely did not get my money's worth. The Tru-fi feels like it could take a beating. It took a while for it to arrive, but after playing it and hearing it in person and feeling the build quality, I would happily buy it again. The P-90s in my '56 Goldtop Reissue love it. It has that beautiful characteristic midrange that we love Tonebenders for. It has plenty of body and fullness and loads of sustain, and still stays articulate even at higher Attack settings. I will say that, like all authentically vintage-style pedals, it doesn't have a WHOLE lot of volume on tap, but it's not supposed to. Unity gain can still he reached and exceeded, so some boosting is possible. It's a pedal that wants to be cranked anyway. The Tru-fi Spider Fuzz has dethroned the EQD Park Fuzz as my favorite fuzz pedal, and that's saying a lot. Excellent work, Tru-fi. You've made a winner.Bo LarssonSpider Fuzz
Yes !!! This is an incredible good version of the MK1 Tone Bender. I’ve compared it to my old JMI and my favourite ; the Sola Sound made by Pigdog (the most expensive pedal I’ve ever bought - almost 4 of these for the price of what I paid for one Sola Sound - ok they look exactly like the old ones) and really ... the sound of this pedal is just as good as in the ones Ive mentioned, the differences are really really tiny and small and not easy to hear. This one is easily gonna be on my pedalboard ASAP and I can strongly recommend this pedal to all of you wanting to get that raw and vicious Ronson tone at a good price and in a beautiful package !!!福地翼ファズ

Nice fuzz!BryanSpider fuzz
The tone... my god the tone... I play mostly blues and blues rock and have been on the hunt for a mk1 for a while now and this thing really hits that certain square wave i been chasing. depending on your attack and picking dynamics, this thing can really bring out what your soul wants to sing. so turn off that compressor and let your fingers do their thing. stack it behind the 18v colordriver as a volume boost and it really brings out all the harmonics and just makes a valve amp sound so gooey and thiCC. thanks again. you really outdid yourself with this one!Leave a Review
