The Two Face, the pedal everyone has been waiting for us to build, based on the classic Fuzz Face of the late 60s and Jimi tones.

As we know they built two of them, the early one's 1966-1969 which had germanium transistors in them, and then 1970 they used temperature tolerant silicon transistors. Which one sound's better, well that could go on for days in discussion, so I just said you know what how 'bout we put them BOTH in the same pedal and make it switchable ! YES you get two pedals basically in ONE ! The germanium is warm, fatter and darker, the silicon is brighter some say a tad harsher but now you can BOTH tone's at your feet with the ease of the flip of the switch. The germanium was always having problems with it's bias setting due to temperature fluctuations but for that I put a Bias control on top you can tweak at anytime for the right tone ORRRRRRR under bias it and get crazy unique fluttering motorboat tones. It is all right there for you on top, the silicon is inside and set to 4.5V no need to move it - it is pretty solid.

Inside the pedal there is a knob which is the input control, STOCK is totally clockwise, but turn it counter clockwise to lower over all gain a tinge, BRIGHTEN the sound, and also make it play better with Wahs. There is an option (slight upcharge) to have this installed on the side like the Colordriver Master Volume know on the side. Sometimes it works well to just knock a TINGE of gain off as it solidifies the tone a bit, but that is part of the experimenting experience.

NOW remember this is a 50 year old Fuzz Design, maxed fuzz especially on the '70 setting will give you some noise and swirls etc. Back off the total Fuzz setting a tinge and it really goes away, you want it to be a rocket and you really won't a tinge of sizzle when your jamming only when you stop - DONT STOP PLAYING EVER !  ALSO this pedal is VERYYYYYYY Guitar Volume transparent - also how hard you play - that is the beauty of it...really ride the volume on your guitar and get tons of dynamic sounds.

    Tru-Fi Two Face Fuzz

As a session guitarist in Nashville I'm always looking for new innovative gear to create new sounds vintage and modern. I recently purchased the Two-Face Fuzz. The day I received it I brought it work and was absolutely blown away at the sounds coming from this piece of highly musical gear. This pedal is a tone monster!! Built like a tank! It now has a permanent spot on my main session board and I look forward to years of musical bliss with this pedal. Thank you Teddy and crew at Tru-Fi. Still smiling!!

    Two Face Fuzz

Aside from very classy packaging the pedal is drop dead gorgeous and built like a tank. Unbelievable. It does all the great things that a great fuzz should do: sounds wonderful, cleans up beautifully, and the selection of silicon versus germanium diodes with bias control….??. If there’s one fuzz you could have for life, this would be it.

    Two Face Fuzz

All I can say is WOW?? After seeing these guys on Marcus King's rig rundown I just had to get one of their pedal. Little did I know what a cool experience this would be. I forgot add something on my initial purchase. I just shot them a text and boom..taken care of. Then, I receive my pedal packed nice an snug in its own wooden box. What a stellar presentation. Then.....the magic happens...plugged that Two Face in and....well...just WOW!! Do yourself a favor and order a pedal...you wont be disappointed.

    Two face fuzz

What a great pedal. Vintage sounding fuzz with modern ease. I have had a million fuzz boxes I haven’t gotten along with; this one is amazing. I play a Les Paul through a tweed deluxe and this thing sounds great through it. The external input gain has a lot to do with that; you can really dial in/out the perfect amount of ‘woof’. 69 vs 70 mode are surprisingly similar in some settings, but easily distinguish themselves when you start turning knobs. Gets super nasty when you want it to. Build quality is superior to a lot. Definitely look forward to trying more pedals.

    Two Face Fuzz is Fantastic!

The Two Face Fuzz I ordered late last week was delivered today so naturally I had to unpack and to my surprise it come in this awesome wooden box w/ some cool stuff inside.. Anyway, I immediately put it on my pedalboard and fired up my 74 Super Bass w/ my trusty Les Paul Standard because if I can’t get cool tones out of it w/ Humbuckers, which most fuzzes I tried fail, then my search is still on.. Well, my search ended today! The versatility of this pedal on both the 69 and 70 settings is amazing! I mean I seriously only spent maybe 10 minutes with this pedal (w/ the help of watching YouTube prior to getting the pedal) and found all kinds of fuzz and overdrive options! I then hit a Klon and Holy $@&t this baby came alive even more! I A/B it with a NKT variety competitor fuzz and Tru-Fi has more clarity and more output.. So I will stop here because my search for a Fuzz is over for now.. Now to look at their other pedals because this one is that good!

Two Face is the Tru Face

Pull the back off this thing and gaze at the guts for some increased pride of ownership and an easter egg or two. I thought it would just be a novelty to switch between Germanium and Silicon modes, but both have quite different and equally useful applications. Max the bias dial in Germanium mode and get soul-hugged by beautiful smooshiness akin almost to an old cranked Tonebender. I'm surprised to say that I particularly love G-mode with humbuckers, which I didn't think I'd bother with on a FF-type pedal. Silicon mode on the other hand is where my Strat reminds me why Strats are Strats. Near obliteration with guitar vol on 10, then clear, trebly overdrive as I roll off. As the overall amplitude lowers, high end suddenly pokes through. Strat players, I know that sounds impossible, but really, I promise... Lower guitar vol (think 6 to 8) = increased high end, no dullness! Also, Germanium and Silicon modes both crank with a tele! Add a piece of art to your arsenal. Go Tru-Fi!

    TWO FACE GLORY

After a month long wait , I receive the Tru-Fi Two Face Fuzz . So worth the wait . Teddy hand makes each pedal to order . He’s an awesome dude who delivered one of the best and most versatile fuzz faces in the market . The silicon mode cleans up much more than the germanium , surprisingly. But not one bad sound comes out this unit . It has so much range . It delivers the sounds that are in my head when I think about late 60’s fuzz tones . Tru- Fi is the real deal!
